Mumbai: A sessions court on Thursday issued process against Yashovardhan Birla and 12 others on a complaint filed by the Deputy Registrar of Companies, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India, over funds raised through an IPO for BPML and alleged diversion of part of those funds through several entities.Additional Sessions Judge Gopal G Bhansali passed the order after hearing Advocate Sandeep Singh for the Registrar of Companies.According to the complaint referred to in the order, BPML had opened its public issue on June 20, 2011, and collected around Rs 65.17 crore. The complaint stated that after the money was collected, Rs 33.4 crore was siphoned through entities including NP Enterprise, New Fashion, Ora Associates, Laxmi Trading and Skylite.The court further recorded that detailed figures had been placed in the complaint on how the collected amount was allegedly moved. The matter has been adjourned to Oct 13.The court also pointed out defects in the filing of the complaint.Taking note of corrections made in the pagination, the court said, “The list of the documents is not given at the end of complaint.
