Chennai: Police arrested three persons — Vembuli, 25, John Badsha, 24, and Muthukaruppan, 23, — on Saturday for stealing electric wires from Guindy Race Club. A total of 10kg of electric wires was seized from the trio. The accused were nabbed by employees on duty at the club and handed over to police. The trio had also tried to steal the wires on Friday afternoon, but fled the spot when security raised alarm, police said. Based on a complaint filed by a security officer, police registered a case. The accused were produced before the court on Saturday and remanded to judicial custody.tnn
