Kanpur: Body of a 41-year-old police constable posted at Etawah Police Line was found hanging at the Basket Ball court on the campus of the Police Lines on Saturday morning.As soon as information about the incident was received, senior police officers reached the spot and started an investigation. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.According to police, the reason behind the suicide could not be ascertained.The constable was originally a resident of Kanpur Dehat, and wasfrom 2005 batch. His elder brother is also posted as a sub-inspector in Etawah.The deceased’s brother also could not cite reason behind the extreme step. He further informed that his brother was to receive property from his in-law’s side, and the financial condition of the family was stable.The deceased is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter. He lived with his family in the residence located in the Police Line.
