Vadodara: Sama police have registered an FIR against a couple and another person for creating a ruckus during security arrangements for Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel and allegedly assaulting an assistant sub-inspector on duty. The incident occurred near Dumad Crossroads on Monday night when the CM was scheduled to visit the city.Police temporarily stopped traffic as Patel’s convoy was to pass. The accused, Kaushik Patel and his wife Falguni, were travelling through the area on a motorcycle. ASI Ajitsinh Laxmansinh, who was deployed on duty, asked Kaushik Patel to stop, but he allegedly refused, leading to a heated argument. According to police, the occupants of a car following the motorcycle also got down and began arguing with Laxmansinh. Kaushik Patel allegedly assaulted the ASI, while Premal Patel, named as the third accused, is said to have acted as an accomplice. Police stated Falguni recorded the incident on her mobile phone and allegedly threatened Laxmansinh, saying she would get him suspended. Other police personnel soon reached the spot. The trio have been booked for assault and for threatening a govt servant with injury.
