Berhampur: A constable, who was recently released on bail in a domestic violence case, allegedly attempted self-immolation at his home in Bijapur late on Friday evening.Asutosh Mrundangia, who works in motor vehicle department, Chhatrapur, was admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur with over 60% burn injuries.Though the exact reason for the incident was not known, police suspected a family dispute behind the act.On May 1, he was arrested by Mahila police in Berhampur for allegedly beating his police constable wife.
