Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress on Wednesday asked the Chief Electoral Officer to furnish polling station-wise details of over 73.3 lakh electors whose enumeration forms were classified as uncollected or uncollectable during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), saying its booth level agents (BLAs) wanted to trace and re-verify them independently.TPCC election commission co-ordination committee chairman Pulipati Rajesh Kumar, along with SIR state coordinator Gampa Venugopal, submitted a representation to CEO C Sudarshan Reddy, seeking the names, addresses, available contact details, and the reason recorded for each uncollectable enumeration form. The party said the information should be shared with its BLAs so that they could visit the electors, verify whether they were still residing at the registered addresses and help genuine voters complete the required process.The party sought polling station-wise list covering all assembly constituencies and the specific reason for treating each enumeration form as uncollectable, including categories such as elector shifted, house locked or address not traced. According to figures cited by the party from the CEO’s press note, of the 73.3 lakh uncollectable forms, 45.1 lakh were classified as permanently shifted, 11.2 lakh as absent or untraceable, 9.2 lakh as deceased, 6.7 lakh as already enrolled and over 1 lakh under other categories.Congress also sought details of nearly 63 lakh electors figuring under anomalies, arguing that these cases too required closer examination and re-verification. The party said its representatives and BLAs would use the data to trace voters locally, create awareness and help eligible electors file Form 6 wherever required. The party said it had made a similar request on July 30, and referred to a memo subsequently issued by the CEO directing district election officers and electoral registration officers to share the details.However, the party alleged that the information had not been provided to its BLAs or local Congress offices so far. Rajesh Kumar urged the election authorities not to remove voters classified as uncollectable or figuring in anomaly lists without “deep examination and re-verification”.As part of the ongoing SIR, the enumeration phase has concluded, and the draft electoral roll is scheduled to be published on Aug 17. Congress has been raising concerns over the large number of electors classified as uncollectable and those flagged under various anomaly categories, and has now sought the underlying voter-level data to conduct its own verification.
