Sonipat: Naveen, 32, the son of Congress women’s wing state general secretary Santosh Kadiyan, allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Sonipat late Thursday night.The incident comes at a time when his mother is gearing up for the civic body elections. Santosh is contesting from ward number 5.Police officials said that Naveen’s body was found hanging in a room on the upper floor of the house. He was rushed to the civil hospital, where he was declared dead. The body has been sent for the post-mortem, they added.Preliminary findings suggest that Naveen was battling diabetes. He also lost his job in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, nearly two-and-a-half months ago. Naveen is survived by his wife and two daughters, aged 11 years and two-and-a-half years.According to family members, Naveen was deeply involved in managing his mother’s election campaign. On Wednesday, he worked late into the night installing campaign banners and posters, returning home around 4 am on Thursday. They said he continued assisting at the campaign office throughout the day and appeared normal, showing no visible signs of distress.Santosh said there was no domestic dispute or immediate trigger that could explain the extreme step. “He was actively supporting my campaign and seemed normal. We are unable to understand why he took such a step,” she said.The police have initiated a detailed investigation and are examining multiple angles, including health issues, financial stress and other factors, to ascertain the circumstances leading to the suicide.MSID:: 130677678 413 |
