Kanpur: Launching a sharp attack on Bharatiya Janata Party and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on Ram Mandir donation theft case, Congress state president Ajay Rai said that that those responsible for the theft could roam anywhere but their truth was known across the country.Rai alleged that as their truth was revealed to everyone, the public is now saying -‘Chadhava choron, gaddi chhodo.’ The public would no longer regard them anywhere, and they would be removed from both, the state and the country, he said.Referring to the road show held in Lucknow on Saturday, Rai said that the public was completely absent from the road show and the crowd was only of the police vehicles and chariots moving around. This has proved that people have now distanced themselves from the BJP.Congress UP president said that Congress govt would be formed in Uttar Pradesh in 2027, and soon after that a completely impartial investigation into the donation theft case would be conducted. The issue has become a topic of discussionin every village and every household of the state.Rai questioned that those who consumed god’s money what would they do to common people. He said that women of the families had donated amounts ranging from Rs 100 to 10,000 out of devotion which were stolen. They did not even spare the gold donated by the mother of an officer at the home secretary level and even the Ramcharitmanas, he alleged.Terming the SIT probe into the donation theft case as mere an eyewash, he said that the SIT failed because the officer accused in the Prayagraj stampede case has been made the chairperson of the team. A person who was an accused in a case cannot conduct an impartial investigation, he said.Rai demanded that the probe should be conducted by a sitting judge of high court or Supreme Court. He claimed that if the investigation was conducted by an impartial judge, then everything would become clear, and big names like Nripendra Mishra, Champat Rai Bansal, Anil Mishra, Govind Giri and Gopal Rao would be behind bars.
