Chennai: Congress MP Manickam Tagore demanded 40 seats lost by DMK in 2021 assembly election. The remark came after forest minister R S Rajakannappan said DMK will not share power and will contest in 170 seats in the upcoming polls, implying that Congress will not be given additional seats. Responding on X, Tagore said DMK contested in 173 seats last time and won 133 seats. Reiterating his stand on power-sharing, Tagore said, “Share in power is our right and people will decide it.” TNN
