Lucknow: The Congress has intensified preparations for Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi’s proposed interaction with students in Prayagraj on July 19, launching a mobilisation drive across Uttar Pradesh ahead of the event.The outreach programme, titled Chhatra Samvad, is expected to focus on issues affecting students and young job aspirants, including alleged paper leaks, delays in recruitment, unemployment, and access to quality education.As part of the campaign, the party has launched a missed-call registration drive to encourage student participation. Congress leaders said students and competitive exam aspirants from across the state will be invited to attend the interaction.Party sources said Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is also likely to join the programme. Chief ministers from Congress-ruled states and several senior party leaders are expected to be present as well.To review preparations, AICC national secretary and Uttar Pradesh organisation in-charge Anil Yadav visited Prayagraj and held meetings with local Congress functionaries and representatives of various student organisations.The Prayagraj interaction follows Rahul’s recent outreach in Kota, where he engaged with students and competitive exam aspirants on issues such as examination irregularities, recruitment delays, and employment opportunities.According to Congress sources, the Prayagraj event aims to provide students with a platform to directly raise concerns related to higher education and employment with Rahul Gandhi.
