Patna: A day after a large crowd gathered at the employment fair organised at Gyan Bhavan in Patna, the Congress on Sunday accused the NDA govt of doing nothing to provide jobs to the youths. Some 48,000 youths registered for the jobs, of which 20,000 appeared for interviews, and finally, 7,000 got the jobs on Saturday, according to a statement by the Congress. Some 198 companies joined the employment fair.Launching an attack on the NDA, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge accused the BJP and its alliance partners of pushing the youths into the “quagmire of unemployment”. Claiming the transformation in the lives of youths will begin from Bihar, Kharge said the Congress’s resolve is unwavering — “rights to talent, employment for every youth, halting migration, and keeping every family together.”Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, said the large crowd at the job fair is a message for society that youths from Bihar are no longer interested in speeches; rather, they want employment to shape their future. “The massive crowd at the employment fair is not just a gathering but a message that they want jobs, not speeches,” Rahul said in a social media post in Hindi on Sunday, adding the youths are now compelled to migrate to other states leaving behind families and villages since they have no jobs. “The youths are forced to abandon their village, families, everything out of sheer compulsion to look for jobs,” he said.“Ab badlao ki shuruat ho chuki hai (Now, the beginning of change has arrived),” Rahul claimed, stating that the Congress and the INDIA bloc have not just come up with promises, but solutions as well.
