Prayagraj: On the eve of Earth Day, a conclave titled “Green Innovation Conclave: From Earth to Enterprise” was organised at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology.Organised by the Innovation and Incubation Hub MNNIT Foundation (IIHMF), the event focussed on environmental conservation, green technology and startup-driven innovation.Speaking at the event, Anil Prakash Joshi, founder of Himalayan Environmental Studies and Conservation Organisation and a Padma Bhushan awardee, stressed on carbon footprint labelling, river conservation as a mass movement, public participation, and ensuring 33% forest cover. He said that development must be inclusive and integrated, and also urged the startups to create solutions balancing economy and ecology.IIHMF CEO, Dr. Ram Kumar Mishra, said the hub is promoting youth-led innovation and green startups, especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Chief guest K. B.Pandey encouraged green entrepreneurship, while Sanjay Swami emphasised blending traditional knowledge with modern technology.Students, researchers and startup representatives participated in discussions on climate responsibility and eco-friendly innovation. A prior press meet also announced a “Jalabhishek” programme at Parmarth Niketan, led by Swami Chidanand Saraswati, to promote water conservation as a mass movement.The programme was supported by Mangal Bhoomi Foundation founder Ram Babu, who highlighted community-led river rejuvenation.
