The survivor also came to the college last Wednesday for filling the exam form. A first-year student said, “The survivor and one of the accused are my batchmates. Our admit cards are expected to be distributed this week, but I don’t know what will happen now.”First-year students have been given study leave. But students of second, third and fourth years were having regular classes. They are now in dark.Several college students said they used to enjoy absolute freedom on the campus. They were never asked to show their ID cards. A student said, “There is a sticker on the college lift stating that only faculty can use it. When I observed that no one followed college instructions, I also started disobeying them.” Another student said, “We knew that to get admission in four govt-aided colleges, including this one, you needed a rank below 500. But Zaib, who is an accused, got admission as a general student despite a rank of 2,634.” TOI contacted some professors, who refused comment. On Monday, there will be a protest at the college where law students of other colleges will also take part.
