Chennai: Cricket fans heading to IPL 2026 matches at M A Chidambaram stadium can now rely on metro trains and MTC buses for seamless travel, with Chennai metro rail ltd (CMRL) and metropolitan transport corporation (MTC) rolling out special services linked to match tickets.CMRL has partnered with CSK Cricket Ltd to offer free sponsored metro rides for ticket holders. Fans can travel to and from Govt Estate metro station, the closest access point to the stadium, by simply scanning their match tickets at automatic fare collection gates. Special late-night services will also be operated, with the last trains departing at 1 am towards Wimco Nagar and Airport. MTC will allow fans to travel free on non-AC buses by showing valid match tickets. The facility will be available three hours before the match and up to three hours after it ends. TNN
