Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister V D Satheesan will inaugurate the fourth edition of International Life Sciences Conclave and Expo on Thursday.Organised by Bio 360 Life Sciences Park under Kerala Lifesciences Industries Parks Ltd (KLIP), Bio Connect 4.0 expo will include more than 500 participants and 45 exhibitors, including international delegates.As a prelude to the conclave, a pre-event investors’ meet will be held on Oct 7 at Bio 360 Life Sciences Park.Industries minister P K Kunhalikutty said Bio Connect 4.0 will serve as a platform for stakeholder engagement, policy dialogue and collaboration, reinforcing Kerala’s commitment to emerging as a preferred destination for life sciences innovation, manufacturing and investment.“It will also showcase the infrastructure, facilities, support mechanisms and investment opportunities available at Bio 360 Life Sciences Park. Besides, the incentives offered under Kerala industrial policy will be highlighted,” he added.Kunhalikutty said the event would position Keralam as an emerging hub for biotechnology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, ayurveda, bioinformatics, nutraceuticals and other life sciences industries through a vibrant and collaborative ecosystem.Bio Connect 4.0 will feature a string of events, including keynote addresses, panel discussions, exhibitions, product launches by industry and startups, B2B and B2G networking sessions, showcases of R&D institutions and structured interactions that would facilitate technology transfer and industry partnerships.The major objectives are to attract industrial partners and investors from across the life sciences ecosystem to establish and expand their operations in Keralam, particularly at Bio 360 Life Sciences Park.It will focus on strengthening industry linkages and creating business, networking and partnership opportunities among stakeholders across the life sciences value chain.The event will also focus on fostering industry–academia collaboration by bringing together researchers, academic institutions, industry leaders, startups and policymakers to facilitate knowledge exchange and technological advancement.The conclave will also showcase Keralam’s model of responsible investment and responsible industry, innovation-led growth, sustainability, resilience and inclusive development.Spread across 200 acres of land at Thonnakkal in the capital city, Bio 360 Life Sciences Park has leasable, ready-to-occupy land parcels and is an ideal destination for global and domestic life sciences investments.
