Kanpur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Farrukhabad on Thursday to distribute relief material among flood victims and address a public meeting at Police Lines. Flood-affected people, whose houses were swept away by Ganga, will also receive land allotment papers and funds for house construction on teh occasion.Preparations for the programme began on Tuesday. A stage and waterproof pandal are being erected, while separate galleries and seating arrangements are being made for men, women and flood-affected beneficiaries. Barricades are also being installed for security arrangements and movement. A helipad for the landing of the chief minister’s helicopter is being prepared and barricaded within Police Lines premises.District magistrate Dr Ankur Lathar, SP Aarti Singh, ASP Girish Kumar Singh, ADM Arun Kumar, the CDO and other officials inspected the venue on Wednesday. They reviewed arrangements for the programme and helipad. They sought details about the arrangements and issued necessary directions.The programme was initially proposed at Dabri in Amritpur Assembly constituency but was later shifted to Police Lines ground after rainfall.
