Bhubaneswar: Tributes were paid to Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary at a commemorative programme organised by the state govt at Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Park in Satya Vihar on Monday.CM Mohan Charan Majhi, speaker Surama Padhy, Rajya Sabha MP Manmohan Samal, MLA Babu Singh, former minister Arvind Dhali and former MLA Priyadarshi Mishra were among those who offered floral tributes to Mookerjee’s statue.Born on July 6, 1901, in Kolkata, Mookerjee was a distinguished scholar, nationalist thinker and political figure who played a significant role in shaping India’s political and ideological landscape before and after independence.
