Srinagar, Aug 1: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar today has strongly condemned the killing of two labourers in Kulgam, describing the incident as a dastardly act, and expressed profound grief over the loss of innocent lives.
According to a post shared by the Office of the Chief Minister, J&K on X, the Chief Minister announced an ex-gratia relief of ₹10 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the next of kin of the deceased.
The financial assistance will be in addition to the immediate relief of ₹6 lakh each to be provided by the district administration.
The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and reiterated that the government stands firmly with them during this difficult time.
