Dhubri: The Dhubri Medical College and Hospital’s Central Clinical Laboratory has received NABL accreditation.CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the achievement on social media, calling it “another proud milestone for Assam’s healthcare sector” and congratulating the DMCH team. He said the biochemistry, pathology and microbiology departments under the Central Clinical Laboratory earned the accreditation.DMCH principal Dr Ankumoni Saikia told TOI the hospital was working to ensure quality laboratory services since its inception. “As part of the accreditation process, the laboratory departments implemented comprehensive standard operating procedures, internal and external quality control systems, proficiency testing, continuous training of technical and non-technical staff, and regular calibration of equipment to ensure accurate test results,” she added.A college source said the laboratory now complies with ISO 15189:2022 standards for medical laboratories. Officials said the recognition would improve public confidence in DMCH’s diagnostic services and patient care in the region.
