Patna: Altogether five people died due to storm, wall collapse, heavy rain and tree fall in the state on Wednesday, a communique issued by the chief minister’s office said. Of the total five, two persons were killed in Muzaffarpur district, while one each in West Champaran, East Champaran and Munger.Chief minister Samrat Choudhary expressed condolences over the deaths and instructed officials to provide an ex-gratia of Rs4 lakh each to the families of the deceased. “I stand with the affected families in this hour of disaster,” Choudhary said in a statement.The CM further appealed to all people to exercise full caution during bad weather. He asked people to follow the suggestions and guidelines issued by the disaster management department from time to time in case of inclement weather. “Stay indoors and stay safe during bad weather,” the CM told public.
