Faridabad: A Class 12 student was electrocuted in Faridabad village on Friday.Twenty-year-old Tanya suffered the electric shock while ironing clothes at her maternal grandparents’ home in Machhgar village.Police said Tanya, a resident of Laxminagar in Delhi, was attending her uncle’s death anniversary. She had arrived in Machhgar village with her family a day ago.A police officer at IMT police outpost said that family members were busy with preparations for the event in the morning when Tanya went inside a room.Her uncle, Jayveer, told police that he rushed to the room after hearing a sound and found Tanya lying unconscious. The family took her to a private hospital, where doctors declared her dead.Police said they received information about the incident from the hospital. The body was sent to BK Hospital for an autopsy and was later handed over to the family. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
