Vadodara: A 15-year-old Class 10 student died after ostensibly jumping off the terrace of her five-storey residential building in Manjalpur on Saturday, hours after attending school. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.The girl lived with her family at Radhe Residency in Manjalpur and studied at Ambe School near Vadsar Bridge.According to police, she left for school by bus around 6.10am and returned home at about 11am. Soon after, she went to the terrace of the building and fell off it. She died at the scene, police said.Residents rushed to the spot after hearing the impact of the fall. Family members and personnel from Makarpura police station also reached the site.The body was later sent to the state-run SSG Hospital for a postmortem.Police are questioning family members and others known to the teenager as part of the investigation. The circumstances that led to the incident are being examined. The exact reason behind the suicide was not immediately known.
