Nagpur: Student organisations staged separate protests across Nagpur on Wednesday over the alleged paper leak in NEET-UG 2026 examination and irregularities, demanding strict action against those responsible and greater transparency in the examination system.Members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) gathered at Samvidhan Chowk to protest cancellation of the examination and alleged lapses in conducting national-level test. A large number of students participated in the demonstration, raising slogans seeking justice for aspirants.ABVP national secretary Payal Kinake said that repeated “paper leaks” and examination irregularities were destroying the dreams of lakhs of students. She demanded strict punishment for those involved in the alleged paper leak and called for a fair, time-bound investigation by central agencies.The organisation also urged the govt to strengthen the national examination system through better technological safeguards to ensure transparency, accountability and security.Nagpur City Youth Congress organised a protest at Badkas Chowk. Students, youth workers and residents raised slogans against alleged corruption, paper leaks in competitive exams.Led by city Congress leaders, including Atul Kotecha, protesters accused the govt of failing to protect students’ futures and warned of intensified agitation if strict measures were not taken to curb examination-related malpractices.
