Existing users and new purchasers must submit the information at their local police station or at the City Special Branch office functioning under the city police commissioner.The required details include the owner’s name, address and phone number, along with the drone manufacturer’s name, model and serial number. The police said the move is aimed at improving public safety, curbing unauthorised drone operations and strengthening security monitoring across the city.With drones increasingly used for photography, videography, commercial work and personal purposes, authorities said a registry will help identify operators when required.
