Vadodara: City-based social entrepreneur and industrialist Nilesh Shukla has been honoured with a Mayoral Proclamation by Edison Township, New Jersey, in recognition of his community service, leadership and efforts to promote entrepreneurship.Issued by Edison mayor Samip Joshi, the proclamation was presented to Shukla by Edison Township council member Biral Patel. Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) chairperson Ankur Vaidya and Asian American Republican Coalition (AARC) founder Hemant Bhatt also acknowledged the recognition.The proclamation praised Shukla’s commitment to “giving back to society” and his contributions across industrial leadership, education, social welfare and community development. It also recognised his efforts to promote ethical business practices, international collaboration and opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).Shukla is the founder-director of the Unified Growth Foundation in Vadodara and is associated with the Gujarat chapter of the India SME Forum. His initiatives have focused on entrepreneurship, education, youth development and community welfare.Shukla’s contributions to education include support for institutions and initiatives in Vadodara, along with associations with Navrachana University and Maharaja Sayajirao University. The recognition also highlighted his efforts to strengthen ties between Indian and Gujarati communities in the US and India.
