Ranchi: CID on Wednesday questioned former JPSC chairperson L Khiangte for nearly seven hours in connection with its probe into alleged irregularities in the commission’s 14th Combined Civil Services Examination. This was the second consecutive day that Khiangte was questioned for several hours.Sources said CID questioned him about the selection of an allegedly blacklisted agency to conduct the examination without a background check. He was also asked about his alleged role in the agency’s selection, an allegation raised by some groups.CID has summoned Khiangte again on Friday for further questioning.The agency also issued a general notice on Wednesday asking candidates who qualified the JPSC Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 to submit carbon copies of their OMR sheets for Papers I and II. Candidates may send PDF files or photographs of the carbon copies through WhatsApp on 9934309058 or by email at complainjpsc-cid@jhpolice.gov.in, the notice said.CID added that candidates who do not have their OMR sheets may provide their roll numbers, along with reasons for the documents’ unavailability, through WhatsApp.CID has registered a case in connection with the civil services exam, whose Main examination has been postponed. The agency has so far arrested 10 people, including JPSC deputy controller of examinations Shweta Gupta.
