Ara: A ray of hope for the reconstruction of the dilapidated Ara Bazaar Samiti eastern overbridge emerged on Friday for residents of Ara after Union minister for food processing industries Chirag Paswan wrote to Bihar road construction minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, requesting the earliest commencement of reconstruction work.State general secretary of the youth wing of the LJP (Ram Vilas), Prashant Singh Chandel, said, “During my meeting with the Union minister Chirag Paswan last week, I had brought to his attention the dilapidated condition of the eastern overbridge situated near Bazaar Samiti of Ara. Acting swiftly on my request, the Union minister has written to the Bihar road construction minister, urging him to start the reconstruction work at the earliest for the convenience of thousands of daily commuters.”In the letter dated Feb 27, Chirag wrote, “The eastern overbridge situated at Ara Bazaar Samiti is in a state of severe disrepair leading to extreme inconvenience for the students, traders and the residents of Ara. The overbridge is critical for the daily commute of the local residents. However its dilapidated condition is posing grave safety hazards. The reconstruction of the overbridge will immensely help the residents of Ara in their ease of transportation.”
