Coimbatore hosted the second edition of the competition from August 28 to 30

Coimbatore: Chennai Bulls (Tamil Nadu) clinched the title at the national-level equestrian champions league, winning the top cash prize of ₹15 lakh at the event which concluded at Molapalayam near Vellanaipatti in Coimbatore district on Sunday.Bengaluru Knights finished runners-up and won ₹10 lakh, while Golconda Chargers secured third place and received ₹5 lakh. The final team scores were Chennai Bulls 311, Bengaluru Knights 291 and Golconda Chargers 286.A Raja, Nilgiris constituency MP,Coimbatore was the chief guest at the prize distribution and honoured the winners. Five state teams: Chennai Bulls (Tamil Nadu), Pegasus Sports (Kerala), Bengaluru Knights (Karnataka), Golconda Chargers (Telangana) and Elite Equestrians (West Bengal) took part in the event held in three categories: 100 cm, 110 cm and 120 cm.The second edition of the competition, organised by the Equine Sports India Federation, was held at a specially created show-jumping arena near ‘Beside the Power House’ premises. Revenue and disaster management minister K A Sengottaiyan, along with Sathyabama MLA and actors Arya and Shyam, had attended the opening on August 28. Sengottaiyan said the event reflected Coimbatore’s growth and called for more such events, adding that chief minister Vijay welcomed the championship being hosted in the city.
