Chatra: Deputy commissioner Ravi Anand on Tuesday reviewed preparations for Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath at a district-level peace committee meeting, directing officials to ensure foolproof arrangements for law and order, security, sanitation, electricity and drinking water.He asked circle officers and police station in-charges to inspect puja pandals and procession routes and warned against negligence.SP Animesh Nathani said strict action would be taken against those posting inflammatory social media content and ordered enhanced surveillance through CCTV cameras and drones.The administration will set up lost-and-found centres, conduct raids on illegal liquor trade, ensure uninterrupted power supply and make safety arrangements at immersion sites and Chhath ghats. Officials were also directed to inspect licensed firecracker vendors ahead of Diwali.
