Kanpur: The 119th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology in the city. On this occasion, a tribute was paid to the great revolutionary and martyr by garlanding his statue. The celebration took place at the main building of the university.Vice-chancellor, Anand Kumar Singh, Dean of Student Welfare Manish Kumar, Dean of Agriculture C.L. Maurya, dean of Home Science Seema Sonkar, along with students, first offered garlands and floral tributes to the statue of the martyr. Over 400 students, along with all directors, deans, wardens, and department heads of the university, participated in the event.During his speech, the vice-chancellor provided insights into the life and great deeds of the martyr Chandrashekhar Azad and encouraged students to follow his example to progress in life. Manish Kumar, Dean of Student Welfare, also informed the students about the life of the martyr. Students took a pledge to pursue their education in a positive environment. The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture briefly described the revolutionary works of Chandrashekhar Azad. tnn
