Mysuru: Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) has urged consumers to remain cautious about electrical hazards during the monsoon season.In a release, CESC said pre-monsoon showers have begun in the five districts under its jurisdiction — Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Hassan and Kodagu — with rain reported in some areas. It warned that heavy wind and rain could lead to electrical accidents.CESC said it is prepared to handle electrical mishaps, disruptions and other issues that may arise during the rainy season. Increased vigilance is being maintained to ensure customer safety, with local authorities and staff actively working to provide necessary services to consumers.The public has been requested to take necessary precautions during periods of heavy wind and rain. Consumers were also urged to promptly report fallen electrical wires, damaged poles or transformer-related issues in their vicinity by calling the 24/7 helpline at 1912, sending information along with photographs to CESC’s WhatsApp number 9448991912, or informing local CESC officials and staff.
