Panaji: PWD minister Digambar Kamat on Thursday said that the govt expects clarity on the resumption of commercial gas cylinder supply by the weekend and urged customers not to panic or resort to violence.“For commercial cylinders, there are some restrictions. In two to three days, the Central govt will inform us about the policy on commercial cylinders. If people start stopping vehicles and threatening workers, then the dealers will stop the supply. We will have to provide police protection,” said Kamat. He said that the state faces no shortage of domestic LPG. “People are getting excited and doing all sorts of things. At Cuncolim people stopped the vehicle. People who have not booked are the ones stopping vehicles to demand cylinders. This is not right. People should register and book properly, and the cylinder will be delivered. You cannot just stop a truck in the middle of the road and demand a cylinder. This is not permitted,” said Kamat.
