Itanagar: The Union ministry of petroleum and natural gas has decided to lift all restrictions on the supply of non-domestic packed Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), restoring allocations to pre-crisis levels, Arunachal Pradesh civil supplies minister Gabriel D Wangsu said here on Thursday.Sharing an official communication from Union petroleum secretary Neeraj Mittal, Wangsu said restrictions on the supply of bulk LPG have also been relaxed by 50% of pre-crisis consumption levels.The curbs were imposed to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability for domestic households amid severe supply disruptions triggered by the West Asia crisis.According to the ministry’s directive issued to chief secretaries of all states and Union Territories, oil marketing companies (OMCs) will continue to collect comprehensive data of all commercial and industrial consumers, maintaining a unified sector-wise database across the three major state-run OMCs.
