Bhubaneswar: The crime branch on Monday formally took over investigation into the alleged irregularities in the preparation, approval, processing and publication of school textbooks for classes I to VIII.Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi had on Saturday ordered a crime branch investigation into the lapses that led to a large number of errors in the school textbooks.The case was registered on the basis of a written complaint submitted by Madhusmita Sahoo, director of teacher education and the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), on Monday.The investigation has been entrusted to CID-Crime Branch DSP Narendra Kumar Behera, who will conduct the probe under the supervision of the SP, CID-Crime Branch.
