Chandrapur: A three-year-old tigress died after being struck by a railway engine on the Gondia–Ballarshah railway line in Chandrapur district on Thursday. According to information, the incident occurred around 5:15am when a train heading towards Gondia hit a tigress between Sindewahi and Rajoli stations in compartment number 247 of Lonkhari beat in Sindewahi range. Kolkata: A city court on Wednesday sent Santanu Sinha Biswas, accused in a land grab and money laundering case, to judicial custody till June 1. Mumbai: Supreme Court has called for a ‘bottom-up approach’ to ensure a robust mechanism for trauma care, roping in all stakeholders including Good Samaritans, to save lives in road accidents. To improve efficiency, the SC has directed one unified number 112 for all emergency helplines across the country.
