Vadodara: In a daring daylight robbery that has raised fresh concerns over courier security across Gujarat, an angadia worker was robbed of cash and valuables worth Rs 1.46 crore in Dahod town on Wednesday afternoon, by six men on motorcycles.Police said Raju Patel was passing along APMC Road carrying Rs 1.41 crore in cash and parcels worth Rs 5 lakh when the assailants struck. Six men arrived on two motorbikes, intercepted him and launched an assault before fleeing with his bags.Patel told police that one attacker hit him with a stick, causing him to fall, after which the group snatched the cash and parcels and escaped. Police reached the spot soon after being informed.Investigators have identified three accused — Parmeshwar Palas, Atul Bhuriya and Govind Mohaniya, all residents of Dahod — and registered a case of robbery against them.Several teams, including personnel from the local crime branch and special operations group, have launched a manhunt. Police scanned CCTV footage from the area and found imagery of the suspects fleeing on motorcycles, which are now being used to track their movement.
