ERODE: The Erode North police arrested a man on Thursday for possessing contraband drugs worth Rs 1 lakh intended for illicit sale near a private college in Erode. The arrested man has been identified as A Kalaiselvan, 30, of Muniyappan Kovil Street in Manickampalayam in Erode district. Acting on a tip-off about the illegal sale of narcotic pills near the college, a special police patrol team rushed to the area and kept it under surveillance.
