Lucknow: In the aftermath of a massive fire that broke out at an under-construction hotel in Gomtinagar, the Lucknow fire department revealed that nearly 90 hotels in the city are operating without the mandatory fire safety no-objection certificate (NOC). Nagpur: To curb misuse of the free school admission scheme under Right to Education (RTE) Act, the state govt has decided to increase the scrutiny of income documents submitted by parents. One of the categories for free admissions to private schools is ‘economically weaker section’, for which parents have to submit proof of their income.
