T’puram: The corals off the Thiruvananthapuram coast are at risk because of pollution from plastic waste and remnants of fishing nets. The problem is acute in a bay off Kovalam, where several plastic items, broken nets and other waste were found at the bottom of the sea by divers from the NGO Friends of Marine Life (FML).
