Shimla: Shimla district police apprehended a Nepali national, Suresh, in connection with the alleged murder of his nephew, Dhani Ram, in Jarai village of Theog tehsil, within 24 hours of the crime.An FIR was filed on Feb 28 by local farmer Jagdish, who provided shelter to Suresh and his family for farm work. The household included Suresh, his wife, their three daughters, two sons, and the victim, Dhani Ram.On the morning of Feb 28, Jagdish discovered a room in the farmhouse empty, while Dhani Ram was lying unconscious in another room. Suspecting foul play by Suresh, he alerted authorities. A special investigation team tracked Suresh to Sharmathu village in Sharmala panchayat, where he was arrested on Sunday.Investigators revealed that the murder occurred during a drunken dispute over a personal grudge, with Suresh allegedly using an agricultural tool to kill his nephew.
