Lucknow: A 60-year-old temple caretaker, Kallu Prajapati, was beaten to death by three people on Thursday night in Dubagga. The accused Ankit Tiwari, Rahul Rawat, and Rahil Kannaujia strangled the victim with his cloth, dumped the body in a nearby vacant plot and fled.According to police, Kallu Prajapati had an old dispute with Ankit Tiwari. On Jan 16, a scooter belonging to Ankit was allegedly set on fire, and he suspected Kallu’s role and had arguments with him several times.
On Thursday night, Ankit reached the Sheetla Mata temple and began removing electrical wiring. When Kallu allegedly objected, the trio brutally assaulted him, killing him on the spot. The body was found on Friday morning by a local resident, and he alerted the police.
