Gurgaon: A 30-year-old man died after a car rammed into his motorcycle near a building material shop in the Farrukhnagar area on Sunday afternoon. The victim, Govind, was a resident of Yakubpur village in Jhajjar district. Police said the accident took place around 1.50pm on Sunday.According to a complaint filed by Govind’s brother, Neeraj Kumar, Govind was riding back from Farrukhnagar when a Swift car bearing registration number HR55AL2036 came from the Jhajjar side. “The car made a sharp turn towards Jhajjar and collided with his motorcycle,” the complaint read.Govind sustained severe injuries in the crash and was taken to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Farrukhnagar, where doctors declared him dead.“We received information about the accident from the hospital, after which a team rushed to the hospital. The statement of the family was recorded and an FIR was registered,” an officer said.After receiving information from CHC Farrukhnagar about the death due to injuries sustained in a road traffic accident, an officer, along with police personnel, reached the hospital. The body was shifted to the mortuary in Gurgaon for post-mortem examination.Neeraj Kumar submitted a written complaint at the hospital seeking strict action against the car driver. Based on the complaint, Farrukhnagar police registered an FIR under Sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (death by negligence) of BNS. A police officer said, “Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the driver of the car involved in the accident.”
