Hyderabad: A car caught fire due to an electrical short circuit in Shamshabad on Wednesday night. Fortunately, two occupants in the car got out of the vehicle in time without any harm.On the complaint of the car owner, Panchade Nagnath Sangappa, 40, RGI airport police registered a fire accident case. He is a lorry mechanic from Housing Board Colony in Katedan.According to Sangappa, his sedan underwent wiring repairs on April 14 at a workshop in Hassannagar. On Wednesday night, while Sangappa was driving the car from Hassannagar to his workshop in Thondupally, he noticed smoke emanating from the engine near Siddhanti in Shamshabad. Sangappa and his assistant, Ravi, immediately got out of the car, but before they could open the bonnet, fire rapidly engulfed the vehicle.The car was completely damaged before the fire tender reached there and doused the flames.
