Deo was taken into custody by Punjab Police upon his arrival at Delhi airport.

NEW DELHI: In a major crackdown on Lawrence Bishnoi’s international syndicate, Canada has deported Karamveer Deo, a senior operative of the gang. Sources said Deo was one of Bishnoi’s top confidants and was directly privy to the syndicate’s operational moves.Deo was taken into custody by Punjab Police upon his arrival at Delhi airport. The Punjab Police had previously issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against him, and he was detained immediately after his flight from Canada landed.Investigations reveal that Karamveer played a critical role in facilitating the escape of Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, Anmol Bishnoi, from India.Once abroad, Anmol stayed at Karamveer’s residence in the United States, which gained public attention after viral videos showed Anmol partying and dancing with Punjabi singers at the location.Beyond providing safe houses, Karamveer functioned as a primary logistical operator for the gang, offering shelter and legal assistance to Bishnoi syndicate members entering the US.However, as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intensified its crackdown on the gang’s foreign network, Karamveer fled the US and shifted his base to Canada.Karamveer Deo’s role had also come to light in the firing incident outside Punjabi singer AP Dhillon’s residence in Canada. His eventual deportation marks a significant breakthrough for Indian law enforcement in dismantling the Bishnoi gang’s overseas support system.
