Kolkata: Calcutta High Court on Tuesday extended the status quo order on the demolition of the Amtala party office of TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee till Aug 6.Justice Suvra Ghosh will hear the case on Aug 6 at 2 pm. The HC, in an urgent hearing on July 19, ordered the status quo.The state argued in court on Tuesday that demolition was not carried out on the two plot numbers for which the case was filed.Senior advocate Kishore Datta, representing Leaps & Bounds Pvt Ltd, sought extension of the interim order. He argued that while Banerjee was the owner of the land, the office was owned by the company, but the latter had received no demolition notice.
