Vadodara: In a remarkable achievement, five students from the city ranked in the all-India Top 50 as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) declared the results of its CA Final exams held in Jan.For the first time, five students from the city featured in the Top 50 in India, a proud moment for the local community.Tirth Thakkar was the student from Vadodara to get the highest rank, 29th, scoring 408 marks. He was followed by Jils Nileshkumar Patel (Rank 30, 407 marks), Nilesh Suthar (Rank 39), Vrajlal Soni (Rank 47) and Kashish Kharadi (Rank 49, 387 marks).The Vadodara branch of ICAI recorded an overall passing percentage of 21.51%, with 125 students clearing the exam from 581 candidates.A total of 190 students took the exams for both groups, of whom 30 passed both, for a passing rate of 15.79% in this category. In Group I, 61 of 281 students passed (21.71%), while in Group II, seven of 110 candidates cleared the exam (6.36%).
