The selected companies are working across climate-resilient healthcare, agriculture and environmental sustainability. C-Camp director-CEO Taslimarif Saiyed said: “India needs climate solutions that can move the needle on climate change by reducing its impact on society, and delivering measurable results at scale. This cohort represents promising deep-science-led innovations that address some of the critical challenges posed by climate change across agriculture, food security, public health and sustainability. We are committed to providing these startups with the right ecosystem, support and opportunities to scale their innovations and help India become more climate-resilient.”In healthcare, Genepath Diagnostics India has developed an open PCR platform for detecting tropical vector-borne pathogens; Prodancy has developed a reusable system to reduce surgical biomedical waste; and AeroDel Technology Innovations has come up with respiratory monitoring solutions for populations affected by pollution and heat.In agriculture, the startups include Intello Labs, which has developed an AI-powered system for digitising quality assessment and trade of fresh produce; String Bio, which is developing methane-based growth stimulants for climate-resilient sugarcane production; and Tealaa Innovations, whose Aquarobo system is designed for robotic sludge management in aquaculture ponds. The environmental solutions include Ossus Biorenewables’ bio-electrochemical technology to convert industrial wastewater into green hydrogen; BPC Bioproducts’ (Amylo) biodegradable packaging materials; Earthkind Foods Biotech’s programmable lipid platform using agricultural residues; and a microalgae-based carbon capture and biorefinery platform by IIOT Innovation. Bisket Labs is developing bio-based printed circuit board substrates from agricultural waste. The startups will also receive access to high-end incubation laboratories, scientific and business mentorship, support for scaling and market deployment, and industry networking opportunities.
