Vadodara: Thirty-odd passengers on a state transport bus had a narrow escape when the vehicle suddenly caught fire in Kaalol town of Panchmahal on Monday. The fire occurred near Kalol bus stop when the bus was leaving for Vadodara around 8.30am. Smoke began billowing out of the front of the bus.The driver noticed the smoke and immediately raised the alarm. The passengers rushed out, with some even jumping out of windows. The driver used a fire extinguisher to douse the fire and informed the fire brigade. It is believed that a fault in the wiring caused the fire.
