Hyderabad: Addressing a press conference at the legislature party office on the premises of the Assembly on Thursday, LB Nagar MLA D Sudheer Reddy protested against the mosquito menace by donning a mosquito net. Speaking to the media, the MLA said that the mosquito problem is widespread in Greater Hyderabad and that people are suffering from malaria and dengue fever.He added: “The municipal corporations and the state govt were not taking any steps to prevent the problem. The govt should allocate ten fogging machines to each municipal division. If the problem persists, it will damage Hyderabad’s brand image too,” he said.He also objected strongly when the Assembly marshals asked him to remove the mosquito net. He said that these rules only apply during Assembly sessions and that they cannot stop him from wearing a net.
