The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will begin the registration process for the School Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4.0) 2026 today, September 21. Candidates who want to apply for the fourth phase of the teacher recruitment examination can submit their applications through the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in.
The BPSC TRE 4.0 recruitment drive will fill 32,388 teaching posts across different school levels. The examination was earlier scheduled to be held in September, but the schedule has now been postponed. The Commission is expected to announce the new exam dates along with the detailed notification.
The registration process was earlier scheduled to begin on September 1 and close on September 30, 2026.

Candidates can follow these steps to complete the application process:

- Click on the BPSC TRE 4.0 2026 registration link on the homepage.
- Complete the registration process on the new page.
- Log in and fill out the application form.
- Pay the required application fee through the available online payment options.
- Submit the application form.
- Download the confirmation page.
- Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
BPSC TRE 4.0 application fee The application fee for BPSC TRE 4.0 is ₹100. Candidates can pay the fee online through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI.
Candidates applying for more than one category will have to pay a separate examination fee for each category. The categories are Classes 1 to 5, Classes 6 to 8, Classes 9 to 10, and Classes 11 to 12.
Candidates will also have to pay any applicable bank charges for the online payment.
BPSC TRE 4.0 exam pattern
The Main Examination will consist of 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 150 marks. The exam will be held for 2 hours 30 minutes. Each question will carry one mark.
There will also be negative marking. One-third mark will be deducted for every wrong answer in the objective examination.
The BPSC TRE 4.0 examination was earlier scheduled for September but has been postponed. The Commission has not announced the revised exam dates yet.
